Hey there. Welcome to this week's glow bite. In our main episode, we dove deep into the world of data tracking. We broke it all down the different types of tech like Oura, RingConn, CGMs, and Apple Watch.
Nicole:And we unpacked what those tools actually track, what the data means and how you can use it to optimize your sleep, hormones, energy and overall health in midlife.
Alicia:But listen, we also get that if you're brand new to data tracking or even just curious about it, that can feel a little overwhelming.
Nicole:Which is why today's glow bite is designed to keep it simple. You don't have to dive into spreadsheets or get the latest wearable to start supporting your health. One tiny tracking habit is all it takes to start seeing change. I've mentioned the 1% changes many times on this podcast. In his book Atomic Habits, James Clear highlights the value of starting small and making tiny 1% improvements, which over time add up to a major benefit. It can get overwhelming when you try to do too much at once and can even set you up to fail. So we wanna break this down super small and simple for you to help you make progress in feeling better, 1% at a time.
Alicia:So if you're new to data tracking, pick just one thing to track this week. That's it. No gadgets required.
Nicole:We wanna share five things that can be impactful to track. Number one, jot down what time you went to bed and how rested you felt in the morning in a sleep journal. Two, you could rate your energy on a scale from one to 10. Paying attention to the times of day where your energy tends to dip. You can keep a little energy journal. Number three, how you feel during and after your workouts. Number four, keep track of how much water you drank that day. And number five, you could rate your stress level on a scale from one to 10.
Alicia:It might sound too simple, but trust us. Tiny awareness creates big momentum. When you start paying attention to even one small thing, you begin to see patterns.
Nicole:And those patterns can ripple out into your habits. You might realize, wow, I actually sleep better on the days I take a walk, or I crash mid-afternoon on days I skip breakfast. That's insight, and insight leads to action.
Alicia:And remember, this isn't about judging yourself or trying to be perfect. This is about tuning in. It's just you getting curious about how your lifestyle impacts your body.
Nicole:And it doesn't have to take more than a minute a day. Just choose one thing to pay attention to and give yourself time to observe what comes up. Consistency is key when it comes to any change. Remember, you wouldn't expect eating healthy one day a week to have a major shift in your health results or working out one day a month. If you're sedentary the rest of the month, you wouldn't expect to get super fit from that one workout. Progress requires consistency, so you just take one simple small habit and track that one thing consistently.
Alicia:Your glow reflection this week. What's one small thing I could track this week to help me feel more supported in my body? That's it. Choose it, track it. Just see what you notice.
Nicole:Because sometimes one tiny shift in awareness is the thing that starts the whole chain reaction. It's midlife wellness with less guesswork.
Alicia:If you try this out, come let us know what you track this week. We're at midlife and glowing on TikTok and YouTube. We'd love to hear from you.
Nicole:Thanks so much for joining us. We hope you're enjoying these episodes. If you are, make sure to send it to a friend who could use a little wellness inspiration too. We'll see you next time.
